The Challenge
BiwBiw’s ambition was clear: transform from a promising Nairobi-based skincare brand into one of Kenya’s most digitally dominant, culturally relevant beauty leaders. Despite having high-quality products — clean ingredients, cruelty-free formulations, and premium packaging — the brand lacked the digital polish and strategic ecosystem needed to compete in Kenya’s fast-growing online beauty market. They needed: A cohesive luxury visual identity that resonates with the modern Kenyan consumer; High-end product photography and editorial model shots; Models who authentically represent diverse Kenyan beauty; A stronger online presence across Instagram and TikTok; Proper digital marketing foundations (Facebook Pixel, IG Ads, remarketing); A content strategy built for Kenya’s mobile-first audience; And a brand voice capable of standing out in a crowded, trend-driven local market. The challenge was to elevate BiwBiw into a premium, recognizable, digitally powerful Kenyan beauty brand — without losing the authenticity and cultural relevance at the heart of their identity.
Our Approach
We built BiwBiw’s digital foundation and luxury identity from the inside out. 1) High-End Editorial Art Direction — inspired by Dior Skin, Fenty Beauty, Glossier, and Korean beauty campaigns; a clean, luminous, editorial aesthetic with premium lighting, reflective tones, minimal framing, and modern typography. 2) Model Recruitment & Creative Casting — recruited professional models representing the rich diversity of Kenyan beauty for authenticity and aspiration. 3) Full Photoshoot Production & Direction — studio and natural-light setups, macro skincare shots, product hero shots with chrome reflections, texture and ingredient details, and editorial beauty portraiture. 4) Product Photography Reinvented — elevated visual representation of hero products like Bamboo Charcoal Mask and 4-in-1 Radiant Skin Primer + Protect (SPF 50+). 5) Facebook Pixel + Instagram Ads Strategy — retargeting funnels, lookalikes, strategic IG placements, and optimizations leading to 4.2x ROAS. 6) Social Media Presence & Brand Consistency — rebuilt their social presence with consistent colour language, editorial typography, polished carousel ads, clean layouts, skin-positive messaging, and Nairobi-centric storytelling.
